A Academia de Televisão anunciou os indicados para o 72º Primetime Emmy Awards nesta manhã de terça-feira. A Netflix ficou no topo com 160 indicações, seguida pela HBO com 107 indicações.
A HBO ainda tem motivos para comemorar: Watchmen recebeu incríveis 26 indicações. Para as comédias, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel manteve o favoritismo após a exibição de sua terceira temporada conquistando 20 indicações – mesma quantidade do ano passado. Além disso, os principais dramas foram Ozark da Netflix e Succession da HBO, ambos com 18 indicações.
É a segunda vez que a Netflix supera a HBO. Em 2018, o streaming terminou a hegemonia de 17 anos ao conquistar 112 indicações em comparação aos 108 da HBO.
Para celebrar o evento com a lista de indicados ao Emmy 2020, a TNT Brasil transmitiu uma live com Michel Arouca e Aline Diniz, que comentaram ao vivo as indicações.
