Na noite de ontem 20, a TNT Brasil exibiu o Emmy Awards 2020, a premiação mais importante da TV.
A cerimônia apresentada por Jimmy Kimmel esbanjou inovação e criatividade para realizar a entrega dos prêmios em meio a pandemia. A grande maioria dos artistas estavam em suas próprias casas e os vencedores receberam a estatueta através de uma caixa selada, entregue por um funcionário do Emmy vestido com roupas de apicultor e outras formas divertidas.

As séries Schitt’s Creek, Watchmen e Succession foram os grandes destaques da noite, levando múltiplos prêmios. Com isso, a HBO foi o canal que teve mais vitórias, acumulando 30 Emmys, seguida pela Netflix com 21.
Um dos grandes momentos da noite foi a vitória de Zendaya na categoria Melhor Atriz em Série de Drama, pela série Euphoria da HBO. A atriz de 24 anos entrou para a história do Emmy por se tornar a mais jovem a ganhar esse prêmio.

A produção canadense Schitt’s Creek também fez história no Emmy depois de vencer em todas as principais categoria de comédia, abocanhando Melhor Comédia, Atriz, Ator, Atriz Coadjuvante, Ator Coadjuvante, Roteiro e Direção. Foram sete Emmys, um atrás do outro, algo inédito na premiação.
Outro momento memorável da noite foi o mini reunion de Friends, com as atrizes Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox e Lisa Kudrow juntas em um dos blocos.
